Hire someone and ask them

Hire an employee in one tap, write to them, add photos or files, and know how they look things up, answer, start fresh or leave your team.

Hire someone in one tap

Open Hiring in the bar at the bottom. Pick a group with the chips (All, Your team, Work, Life, Home, Learn), then tap the person you want. Your team appears once you have hired someone.

  1. Tap a person's card to open their page. It shows their role and what they do for you.
  2. Tap Hire followed by their name, for example Hire Emma.
  3. A message tells you they are on your team, and the page becomes their desk.

The page also offers two example questions. Tap one and Nourva hires the person and sends the question in the same move.

Hiring has no limit, and each reply is billed like any chat. You can hire them on any plan; on Starter their work runs on credits Nourva gives you. Pricing lists what each plan includes.

Write to them

Open a person from Your team to reach their desk, then write in the box that says Message and their name. They answer in the conversation. A button under an answer can turn it into a finished piece, for example Turn it into a plan or Turn it into a report.

Example
Should I take the job offer? It pays 12% more but the commute is an hour each way.

Employees follow Nourva's memory, so there is no memory switch on a desk. You choose how memory works in Turn memory on and choose what remembers.

Add photos, a camera shot or files

  1. Tap + in the message box.
  2. Choose Photos to pick pictures from your library, Camera to take one now, or Files to add documents.
  3. Write your question and send it.

A message carries several attachments, and each file has a size limit. Documents can be PDF, Word, Excel or text. If a file you pick is too large, the desk says so and adds none of that pick.

What they do before they answer

When a question needs facts from the world, the employee looks them up first. A strip headed Looking into it first lists each lookup and marks it Found or No result; once they start writing, it shows how many lookups came before the reply. The kinds you may see are Web search, News, Flights, Hotels, Weather, Visas & holidays, Distances, Prices & rates, Recipes & nutrition and Facts.

For real work, such as a plan, a trip or a comparison, the first answer is short. Instead of a list of questions, they fill a missing detail with a sensible assumption and say so, then give the option they recommend with its key figure, why, and what they could not verify. Ask for the details, the full version or a long answer, and you get that part in full. A finished report is a separate step; see Get, share or delete a report.

Each employee answers in the language or dialect you write or speak, or the one you ask for, and keeps to it until you ask for another.

Start fresh, or let someone go

On a desk, tap ⋯ to find both options.

  • New session clears the conversation with that person. It appears once the conversation has messages. A popup asks first: tap Start new session. The work they delivered stays.
  • Let and their name, for example Let Emma go, takes them off your team. A popup asks first, and the pieces they made stay on your phone. You can hire them again from their page.

If an employee is still working, New session shows Finish or stop the current work first.

When a message does not go through

  • You're out of credits. The desk cannot reply until you have credits again.
  • Needs a plan. This work could not start on your current plan; see Pricing.
  • That's the limit for today. You have reached a limit on this work for the day.
  • That file is too large. Add a smaller file.
  • Couldn't reach the room. Try again. Check your connection and send again.
