Bring your memory from another assistant
Bring your memory home
You do not have to start from nothing. Nourva can read what another assistant, your files or your photos say about you, weigh it against what it already knows, and keep what is yours. Open Nourva Mind and scroll to the card bring your memory home. Under its tiles, the card reads encrypted and every safe format, and says you can undo an import.
| Tile | What it does |
|---|---|
| Other AI | Brings what another assistant remembers about you. |
| Files | Reads your documents, notes and exports. |
| Camera | Reads photos and screenshots. |
| Teach-back | Nourva explains back what it holds about you, so you can confirm it or fix it. |
| Contradiction hunt | Finds memories that disagree and lets you keep the true one. |
Importing writes to your cloud memory, so it needs Fully cloud with Allows Arachne to remember on. See Turn memory on and choose what remembers.
From another assistant
- Tap Other AI.
- Ask the other assistant to "tell me everything you remember about me", copy its answer, paste it in the box and tap Import what I pasted.
- Or tap Choose its export file and pick the export you downloaded from that assistant: the archive as it came (.zip), or the .json or .html file inside it.
To get an export, look in the other assistant's settings under Data or Privacy, then Export. From an export, Nourva reads only your own words, never the other assistant's replies, and the newest conversations come first.
From files and photos
- Files takes several files at a time: .txt, .md, .csv, .json, .html, .pdf, .docx, .pptx, .xlsx, .epub, .odt, .rtf, or an archive (.zip). A document that is too large is skipped, and the app says so. Archives, .json files and long text can be much larger.
- Camera takes several photos or screenshots at a time.
If there is nothing about you in what you chose, Nourva says Nothing about you in there.
While it runs
The card shows how far the run has gone, and its three stages: reading, weighing against what I hold and routing to layers. Tap Cancel to stop. What came in before you stopped stays, and you can still undo it.
You do not have to wait. A large import keeps going when you leave the screen or lock your phone. If it is too big to come in at once, Nourva says Today's share is in. The rest goes on by itself tomorrow — I'll tell you when it's all in. If an export holds more than one import can take, the newest comes first and Nourva tells you. When it is done, a notification says Your memories are in, and the receipt waits on the card the next time you open Nourva Mind. You can turn these notifications on or off in Settings › Notifications › Nourva Mind.
The receipt, and undo
Every run ends with a receipt headed weighed against what I hold. It shows numbers only, never your memories themselves.
- your word wins: where the import disagrees with what you told Nourva, your word stays.
- the old enters already aged: older facts come in with their age, so today's truth leads.
- about others — held: what the import says about other people is held apart, with its count.
The tiles count New memories and what was Already known, show the Layers touched, and give Undo a time limit. To take a whole run back, tap Undo this run and confirm Remove everything this run added? When the undo time is up, the receipt says undo window closed, and you can still forget any single memory. See See, fix, forget or add what Nourva knows.
Check what Nourva holds
- Teach-back. Nourva explains back, in a few lines, what it holds about you. Tap Correct if it is right, and the card says became certainty. Tap Fix it to see the memories behind it, each with a button to forget it.
- Contradiction hunt. Nourva shows pairs of memories that disagree. Tap keep this on the true one, and the other is forgotten. When nothing disagrees, it says No contradictions in what I hold.
