Talk, and she does the work
Nourva One does more than answer. While you talk, she can make an Office file, put a question to an employee, send Arachne on a mission, work with your calendar and reminders, play a song or draw a chart. Say what you want in your own words, and she picks the right tool.
Before she deletes something, places a call, runs a shortcut or presses a button that sends, buys or pays, she asks for your spoken yes. What she makes or starts for you is paid from your credits, like the conversation itself.
What you can ask for
| Ask her for | What she does |
|---|---|
| An Office file | Makes a Word document, an Excel workbook, a deck or a PDF from what you tell her. Ask for a change ("shorten it", "add a table") and she edits the file she made last, or the one you name. |
| An expert's answer | Puts your question to the employee whose field fits it, tells you who answered and sums up the answer. |
| Work for Arachne | Starts a mission in the cloud. You keep talking, and she tells you in the conversation when the result is back. |
| A search | Searches the web, or looks up the latest news on a topic, and answers from what she finds. |
| A market chart | Draws a chart for a stock, a currency or an index, with its price, change, high and low. Ask for a day, a week, a month or a year. |
| A picture | Makes an image, such as a logo, a scene or a card, and shows it with share and save under it. Ask for a change ("make it darker") and she makes a new one. Pictures have an hourly limit; she tells you when you reach it. |
| A web page | Opens the page in Nourva's own browser on your screen while she keeps talking. |
| Help on the Nourva screen | Reads what is on your screen and taps, types or scrolls for you anywhere in Nourva. |
Make me a one-page PDF with the plan for Monday's meeting.Your phone's own apps
On iPhone and iPad she can work with the apps on your device, once you have allowed Nourva to use them. See iPhone permissions.
- Calendar: she reads the days ahead and adds, changes or deletes events.
- Reminders: she reads them, creates them, marks them done and deletes them.
- Contacts: she finds a contact by name.
- Calls: she brings up the call screen for the number, and iOS asks you before the call starts.
- Messages: she opens WhatsApp, a text message, an email or Telegram with the message already typed. You tap send yourself, because iOS never lets a message go out silently.
- Apple Music: she plays a song from your Apple Music subscription. Say pause, resume, next, previous or stop to control it.
- Shortcuts: she runs one of your own Apple Shortcuts when you say its exact name.
Remind me to call the dentist tomorrow at 9, and add lunch with Sara on Friday at 1.In CarPlay she handles calendar, reminders, contacts, calls and messages by voice too. See Nourva One in CarPlay.
When she waits for your yes
These steps wait for your spoken yes:
- Deleting a calendar event, a reminder, a report or a file.
- Placing a call.
- Running one of your Shortcuts.
- Signing you out.
- Pressing a button on the Nourva screen that deletes, signs out, sends, buys or pays.
She tells you in one sentence what she is about to do and asks a plain yes or no question. Say "yes" or "go ahead" and she does it. Say "no", "wait" or "cancel" and she drops it. If you say anything else, she asks again and does nothing. The question stays open only for a short while; after that she has to ask again.
When Arachne needs your approval in the middle of a mission, Nourva One reads the card to you and acts only on your spoken answer. See What she asks you first.
Reports, read aloud
Open the Nourva One sheet and tap Reports in the bottom row. See Talk to Nourva One for how to open the sheet.
- Reports lists her reports: the ones from Nourva One and the ones she made or tracked for you on any Nourva screen.
- Tap a report to open it in Nourva.
- Tap its speaker (Read aloud) and she reads it to you while the conversation is live. Say "stop" to end the reading.
- Swipe a row for Delete.
You can also ask by voice: "open my latest report", then "read it to me".
