Nourva on Windows and Mac
Get the app
Nourva has an app for your computer that signs in with the same account you use on your phone and the web. Open nourva.ai/download and choose Download for Windows or Download for Mac. The page shows the button for your own computer first.
| Windows | Mac | |
|---|---|---|
| Works on | Windows 10 (build 19041 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit | macOS 11 or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon |
| Installer | A setup file (.exe) | A package (.pkg) |
There is no version for Macs with an Intel processor. The Mac installer is in English. The app itself comes in several languages, including Arabic: choose yours on the sign-in screen or in Account › Language.
Install it
On Windows
- Open the setup file from your browser's downloads.
- Windows may show a one-time notice because Nourva is a new app. The installer is digitally signed, so you can choose to run it.
- Follow the installer, then open Nourva.
On a Mac
- Open the downloaded package and follow the installer. The package is signed, and Apple has notarized it.
- Open Nourva. The first time, it asks once for each of three permissions.
| Permission | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Microphone | Natural voice conversation |
| Screen Recording | Lets Nourva see what you see |
| Accessibility | Lets Nourva click, type and act for you |
Sign in
Use the account you already have, or create one on the same screen.
- Choose Log In, or Create Account if you are new.
- Enter your email and password, or choose Google or GitHub. Your browser opens, and you come back to the app when you finish.
- If two-factor authentication is on, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? under the password box, and Nourva emails you a link to reset it.

Your memory stays on the computer
The memory Nourva builds on a computer is kept in an encrypted store on that computer. Nourva does not send it to the cloud unless you choose to share it, below. Memory is part of Professional, Ultimate and Max. On Starter, the Memory page shows Memory is a Professional feature, and memories you saved earlier stay on the computer, untouched, and work again when you upgrade.
To give Arachne the same context while this computer is offline, open Memory › Share live memory with cloud. Choose how much of your recent memory to share (1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days or 1 month), then Share. The shared copy stays up to date, and nothing else is sent. Stop sharing deletes it at once.
Updates and repairs
Nourva does not install updates by itself. A new version comes from a new installer, which you run.
- When Nourva announces a new version, a banner at the top of the window says so. Choose Download to get the new installer, then run it.
- If your version is too old to keep using, the Update required screen appears. Choose Download latest, then Run installer when it is ready. Quit closes Nourva.
- To check yourself, open Account › Maintenance › Check for Updates. Nourva says You are up to date, or that an update is available.
- On a Mac, you get a new version by downloading the package again from nourva.ai/download.
If something is not working, open Account › Maintenance:
- Clear Cache clears the app's stored temporary data.
- Fix Nourva checks the app and offers Fix All for what it finds. It is there when you are signed in on a paid plan, and the wrench in the bar at the bottom of the window opens it too.
