What a free chat is

Every plan starts each day with a number of free chats. A free chat is a basic chat: a text message sent with no search, no thinking, no file, no picture and no voice. Ask, read the answer, ask again: as long as each message stays basic and you are inside your daily number, it uses no credits.

How many you get

With an account, the count starts with your first free chat and renews 24 hours after it started. It is one count for your account, shared by the Nourva app and the web: a chat on your phone and a chat in your browser come from the same number.

Without an account, you can only chat: 3 messages a day on that device. When they are used, the app tells you they come back tomorrow, or that you can create a free account and keep going.

When a message is more than a basic chat

Search, thinking, files, pictures and voice run on credits. So does a chat once your free chats for the day are used.

• On Starter, such a message is paid in full from the credits you hold, such as credits Nourva gives you. Starter includes no credits of its own and cannot buy them.
• On Professional, Ultimate and Max, in the app, your free chats are used first each day. Adding search, thinking or a picture to a message that falls inside your free chats costs only the difference.

If a message needs credits you do not have, the app tells you. While you still have free chats that day, it says how many, so you can send the message again without search, thinking or attachments.

1. Open Settings › Subscription & usage.
2. Look under Today.
3. Read the Free chats row, for example 3 of 10 left.

On Starter, the same group shows the Credits you hold.

Make them last

• Keep everyday questions plain, and turn on search or thinking only when the answer needs them.
• Need more each day? A higher plan gives more free chats, and Professional, Ultimate and Max can buy extra credits for everything else.
