Your page on The Line
Claim your name
The Line is your public page at nourva.ai/line/@name, behind one name nobody else can take.
- Tap ⋯ in Arachne, choose Tools and open The Line under Your work.
- Open Name and link and type a name: 4 to 20 characters, using a–z, 0–9 and a dot. Tap Check.
- When it shows Free, tap Claim it.
Claiming a name needs a paid plan, and a name belongs to whoever claims it first. Copy link and Share send your address to anyone.
Your page
Visitors read Your page from top to bottom.
- Each section is Shown or Hidden, and Move up and Move down change its place.
- Add a section gives it a Title, its Words, Who can read it, and whether Arachne answers from it.
- Page state is Open, or Resting when you're away: visitors can still leave a note.
- See it as a visitor shows the page the way they see it.
Arachne answers your visitors
On your page she answers for you, always as an AI and never as you. Every visitor is told she is an AI, and that can't be turned off. She knows the prices, items, hours and places your page shows, and offers no deal unless your own instruction names it.
In Arachne, your way you set:
- Her name: Arachne, or a name you pick.
- Tone, Length and In your words: a few lines she keeps to about what you do and don't do.
- Quiet hours: she holds messages and answers after them.
- Steps back when you're there: when you answer yourself, she goes quiet in that thread.
- What she may do: each power is May, Asks first or Never. Paying or moving money, promising on your behalf, giving out a private section and pretending to be you stay locked at Never.
- Try her: ask as a visitor would and see a sample answer from your settings.
Your doors are the five ways in that a visitor picks from: Talk, Meetings, Support, Orders and Notes. Give each door its own Instructions, in your words.
Inbox, meetings and rooms
| Part | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Inbox | Threads from your page, and people waiting at The Gate for Let in or Keep out. In a thread, reply yourself, or turn She answers here off to take it over. |
| Meetings | Your Hours, Days, Length, Gap between meetings, How far ahead and Notice. She offers times from your hours in the visitor's own time zone, and yours is never shown. Each request waits for Confirm or Decline, and a confirmed meeting goes to your calendar. |
| Meeting minutes | When a conversation ends, she writes its minutes: who took part, the agenda, what was said, decisions, actions and next steps. Only you read them. Edit them, tap Approve and keep as PDF, then share the PDF or Email the minutes. |
| Rooms | Places with people in them: Open, Invite only, Request to join or Staff only. Arachne can answer inside a room, and members can share files there. |
Who sees what and safety
Who sees what has four rings: Public, anyone with the link; Known, people you've spoken with; Team; and Close, family and closest. Tap a cell to choose whether a ring sees your name, about, sections, rooms, calendar and call door.
Safety holds Block, Reports and Export my Line. Retire The Line closes it, and the link then says The Line is closed; Reopen The Line brings it back. Three laws always stand: she says she's an AI, nothing leaves without your rule, and a visitor's details stay with the visitor until they leave them.
Your card and your own domain
The Knot is your link drawn as a code. Print it on cards and receipts, and a phone camera opens your Line. Your card puts your name and code on one card to share with Share my card, and Show my code fills the screen for a camera.
Your domain puts your Line page on an address of your own. It walks you through buying the domain in your own name and handing Arachne a key, then Put my page here. She can also make you an email address on it.
