Cookie Policy

Effective: June 10, 2026 (previous version: April 21, 2026) · This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They allow a site to remember things between visits. Some are essential to make a website function; others are optional and tracked only with your consent.

The Nourva desktop app uses minimal local storage for session tokens and preferences only — no advertising cookies. This page covers cookies on our website (nourva.ai).

AnalyticsOptionalGoogle Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) and our first-party measurement cookie (nv_sid, 12 hours). Set only after you opt in.Up to 12 monthsHelps us understand which pages and features are useful. Loaded only after explicit consent — never before.
MarketingOptionalNone currently used. We do not run advertising cookies.N/AReserved for future use. Will require fresh consent before any marketing cookie is loaded.

Cookieless measurement (no consent needed)

If you do not opt in to analytics, we still count the page view — but entirely without cookies. Nothing is stored on your device. Our server records the visit under an anonymized identifier derived from a one-way hash that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked across days, across sites, or back to you. This aggregate counting (total views per page, per day) is performed under our legitimate interest in understanding overall site traffic, and it involves no profiling and no data sharing.

Third-party cookies

Two third parties may set cookies, and only in these situations: Google Analytics (the _ga cookies in the table above) loads only after you grant Analytics consent — with IP anonymization enabled and cookie lifetime capped at 12 months. Stripe sets cookies inside the payment iframe on /pricing when you initiate a subscription, managed under their privacy policy. We do not run advertising or social-media cookies anywhere on the site. Our service providers are listed on the Sub-Processors page.

  • Change your mind any time with the button below — your new choice takes effect immediately.
  • Browser-level controls: Chrome · Firefox · Safari · Edge.
  • Disabling Essential cookies will break login, language switching, and saved preferences.

Data retention

Maximum retention for any cookie set on nourva.ai — including analytics cookies, whose lifetime we cap explicitly — is 12 months. After that, the cookie expires and you'll be asked again. Your stored consent record is also revisited every 12 months.
