How credits work

Learn what credits pay for, how Weekly power limits your plan's credits, the order Nourva uses them in, and which credits expire and which never do.

What credits pay for

Credits pay for everything in Nourva beyond a basic chat. A basic chat is a text message with no search, thinking, file, picture or voice, and it is free inside your daily free chats. Everything else uses credits:

  • Search, thinking, files, pictures and voice in a chat.
  • Talking with Nourva One.
  • Arachne's missions.
  • Files from the Office.
  • Your employees' work.
  • The Designer and the Financial Market.
  • Media: pictures, clips, music and voice.

A basic chat uses credits too once that day's free chats are used. A bigger job costs more than a small one: a paper from the Office, for example, costs more as its level, its length and its pictures grow. For the daily free chats, see Free chats every day.

Plan credits and Weekly power

Professional, Ultimate and Max come with plan credits. They refill to your plan's amount at the start of each billing period, and what is left does not carry over. The Pricing page shows how many each plan gives.

Your plan also has a weekly allowance, which the app calls Weekly power. It limits how many plan credits you can use in a week. The week starts with your first use, and a new one opens seven days after it.

When this week's power is spent, the app says so and tells you the day it renews. Until then:

  • Your free chats still work, so basic chats inside your daily number stay free.
  • Extra credits keep everything else running. Weekly power never limits them.

To keep going before it renews, add extra credits or move up a plan. To see how much power is left, open Settings › Subscription & usage: the card at the top shows it with the day it renews.

The order credits are used in

Nourva uses what you hold in this order:

  1. Your free chats, for basic chats.
  2. Plan credits, up to your Weekly power.
  3. Extra credits, starting with the ones that expire soonest.

In the app, on Professional, Ultimate and Max, adding search, thinking or a picture to a message inside your free chats costs only the difference.

Which credits expire

CreditsDo they expire?
Plan creditsThey refill each billing period, and what is left does not carry over.
Extra credits bought on the webYes, 90 days after each purchase. Every purchase has its own date.
App Store packs, from Buy credits on iPhone and iPadNo, never.
Credits Nourva gives youNo, never.

If your plan ends, you move to Starter and keep every credit you hold. The plan credits left at that moment become extra credits that never expire.

Subscription & usage shows your extra credits with Next expiry and a date, or Kept on your account when none of them expires. For the web's view, see See your balance and usage.

Credits on Starter

Starter includes no credits and cannot buy them. Its 10 free basic chats a day need none, and every screen is open. Anything beyond a basic chat is paid in full from the credits you hold, such as credits Nourva gives you. Credits Nourva gives you work on any plan.

To buy extra credits, move to Professional, Ultimate or Max first. See Buy more credits.

You see the price before a big job

Bigger jobs show their price before they spend anything:

  • Arachne's clips, promos and music: one approval card shows the price first, and nothing is made until you approve. A piece that does not finish says Nothing charged. See What she asks you first.
  • The Designer: the button that makes your picture shows its price in credits.

If a job needs more credits than you hold, the app tells you.
