Chat in Incognito

Start a chat that leaves no history and no memory, know what it changes, and end it to erase it for good.

What Incognito is for

Use Incognito for a question you don't want to leave a trace: the chat never appears in your history, Nourva doesn't use your memory in it, and nothing from it is learned. When you end it, the whole chat is erased.

Nourva still reads each message to answer it. Nothing is saved on your phone either, so an Incognito chat doesn't come back after you quit the app. Anyone signed in can use it, on any plan.

Start an Incognito chat

  1. Open the Chat screen.
  2. Tap ⋯ at the top, then tap Use Incognito.
  3. Write your message.

You start from a fresh, empty chat; the chat you were in stays in History. A short note confirms: Incognito chat: no history, no memory, no learning — fully erased on close. The box reads Incognito — no history, no memory, and a chip reading Incognito — erased on close stays on the screen so you can tell at a glance.

End it

Tap the Incognito — erased on close chip. Nourva shows The incognito chat is fully erased, and you are back at a new, empty chat.

These also end it and erase the chat:

  • The back arrow at the top of the chat.
  • ⋯ › Use Incognito again.
  • ⋯ › New Chat.
  • ⋯ › History, or opening any chat from there.

Nothing is saved first, so an Incognito chat can't be brought back. To keep something, copy it, or use ⋯ › Share Chat to send the conversation as text before you end it.

What changes inside Incognito

In a normal chatIn Incognito
HistoryThe chat is kept and listed in History. It never appears in History.
MemoryOn a plan with memory, Nourva can use what it remembers about you.Nourva doesn't use your memory.
LearningNourva can add to your memory.Nothing from the chat is added to it.
When you leaveThe chat stays. The chat is erased, with anything you attached to it.

If your plan has no memory, Incognito still keeps no history and erases the chat when you end it.

What Incognito can't do

  • No files attached. Ask for a published file, such as a report or a manual, and Nourva gives you links to it instead of attaching it.
  • Nothing handed on. A file in an Incognito chat can't be sent to another part of Nourva. The Send it to sheet tells you: An incognito chat hands nothing out — end incognito, then send it.
  • No pinned file. A file you had pinned to the chat is not carried into Incognito.

To do any of these, end Incognito and ask again in a normal chat.
