Give Arachne a job

Give her the job in one sentence

Tap Arachne in the bottom bar, type what you want done in her box and send it. She plans the steps, works through them and shows each one as it happens. A plain question gets a plain answer.

When she needs something only you know, she asks One question and gives you choices. Tap one, or tap Type instead and answer in your own words. Anything that would act in your name waits for your tap on an approval card; see What she asks you first.

Steer her while she works

Her box stays open while she works, so you can add a detail, change her course or line up what comes next. What happens to your words depends on her face:

• On the Board, the box reads Steer or ask while I work…, and your words reach her during the mission. They show Queued · after this step until the step she is on ends, then Noted once she has read them.
• On the Line and the Terminal, your words wait as your next message, marked Queued, and go to her as soon as the mission ends. Tap × on one to take it back.

Stop a mission

1. Tap Stop. On the Board, it sits at the top of her screen while she works and on the card of her live browser. On the Line, tap the square stop button beside her box. In the Terminal, type /stop.
2. She stops at once: nothing further runs, and nothing more is charged.

The steps she finished and any files she made stay in the session. If the app cannot confirm the stop with Nourva's cloud, it tells you, and the mission may still finish and reach you.

Follow-ups and new sessions

When she finishes, her box invites a follow-up (on the Board it reads Ask a follow-up…). What you write next continues the same session, with everything she found and made, so you can ask her to change the result, go further or do the next part.

For a fresh start, tap ⋯ and choose New session. The session you leave is saved first. If she is still working, she asks before she stops: Arachne is still working on the last task. Stop it and start a new session?

Find a past session

1. Tap ⋯ and choose Sessions.
2. Search, or narrow the list with All, With files or Sessions. Rows are grouped under Today, Yesterday and earlier dates.
3. Tap a row to open it. A session shows its turns, time, files and timeline, with Continue to pick it up again and Share to send a short text of each turn.

Every row has its own Delete, which asks first: Delete this session? It leaves this device and cannot be brought back. Your history is kept on this device only, and it holds your most recent boards and sessions.

When she is done or needs you

You can lock your phone or leave the app while she works. A notification tells you Your mission is done, or Nourva needs your approval with the title of the card that is waiting. If a mission ends before it finishes, a notification says so. Tapping a notification opens that very mission.

Tips for a good ask

• Say the result you want: a table, a PDF, three choices or a short answer.
• Give the facts that matter: the place, the dates, the budget and who it is for.
• Say what she must not do, such as book, pay or contact anyone.
• Give one job per message, then use follow-ups for the next part.
