Two-factor authentication

Wetin e dey do

Two-factor authentication dey add second step when you dey sign in. After your password, or after Apple, Google or GitHub, Nourva go ask for 6-digit code from authenticator app for your phone. If person know your password, e still no fit enter without dat code.

You go turn am on for web. From dat time, di app and di web go both dey ask for di code. For di top of di Security & devices page, tag go show Basic protection when e off, and Stronger protection when e on.

You need authenticator app for your phone, like Google Authenticator, Authy or 1Password.

Turn am on

1. Sign in for nourva.ai and open Security & devices for your dashboard.
2. Under Two-factor authentication, pick Turn on two-factor authentication.
3. Inside Confirm setup, put your Current password and pick Continue.
4. Inside Activate authenticator, scan di QR code with your authenticator app. If you no fit scan am, pick Copy key and paste di key inside di app.
5. Put di 6-digit code wey di app show and pick Verify and turn am on.
6. Nourva go show your Recovery codes. Pick Download the codes to save dem as text file, then pick I don save dem.

Then Nourva go sign you out. Sign in again, dis time with code from your app. Di page go now show E dey on under Two-factor authentication.

Finish step 4 and 5 within short time after you pick Continue. If e take you longer, pick Cancel and start again.

If your account no get password

If you sign up with Apple, Google or GitHub and you never set password, step 3 no get password box: pick Continue. Nourva dey accept dis one only within short time after your last sign-in. If e don pass dat time, e go ask you to pick Sign in again. Sign in, and you go come back to dis page; then start again sharp sharp.

Sign in with code

Every time you sign in, Nourva go ask for di code after your password, or after Apple, Google or GitHub. Open your authenticator app and put di 6-digit code wey e show for Nourva.

• For di app: di screen go talk Put di two-factor code wey dem send you. Type di code and tap Verify.
• For di web: di page go talk One more step remain. Type di code and pick Continue.

Di code dey change often, and each one dey work one time only. If dem refuse code, wait make di next one show for your app and try again.

Sign in with recovery code

If you no fit reach your authenticator app, use one of your recovery codes for web.

1. Sign in for nourva.ai as you dey do am.
2. For One more step remain., pick Use backup code. Di sign-in page dey call your recovery codes backup codes.
3. Type one of your recovery codes and pick Continue.

Dat code don finish now. Cross am out and keep di rest. Di app dey take only di 6-digit code from your authenticator app, so use di web any time you need recovery code.

If you lose both your authenticator app and your recovery codes, write to support@nourva.ai.

Turn am off

You need current 6-digit code from your authenticator app, and your password if your account get one. Recovery code no dey work here.

1. Open Security & devices for your dashboard.
2. Under Two-factor authentication, pick Put 2FA off.
3. Inside Turn off two-factor authentication?, put di 6-digit code and your Current password, then pick Put 2FA off.

Your recovery codes go stop to work, your account go go back to Basic protection, and Nourva go sign you out. Sign in again di way you dey normally do am.

You fit turn am on again any time, and every time you go get new set of recovery codes. You dey move to new phone? Turn am off with code from your old phone, then turn am on again and scan di new QR code with di new phone.
