#Overview

A source pack is the set of references and links that stand behind a piece of research. When Arachne gathers information from real sources to answer a question, it keeps those sources together and hands them to you alongside the answer — so the finding is never something you have to take on faith.

This matters because trustworthy research is verifiable research. A synthesized answer is only as good as what it is built on, and a source pack lets you trace any statement back to where it came from. You get the conclusion and the evidence in the same place.

#What you can do

  • Read the gathered references behind a piece of research, collected in one place.
  • Trace any claim in the answer back to the source it came from.
  • Open the original references to read them in full and confirm the context.
  • Reuse the sources — keep them, build on them, or carry them into further work.
  • Find a source pack again later, since it is saved as an artifact you can reopen.

#How to use it

  1. Ask Arachne to research a topic. When it gathers from multiple real sources, the references are collected into a source pack delivered with the answer.
  2. Read the synthesized answer first, then open the source pack to see what it was built on.
  3. To verify a specific claim, find the reference behind it in the pack and open the original to read it in context.
  4. Reuse what you need — keep the source pack, carry the references forward, or use them to go deeper.
  5. Reopen the source pack any time from your saved artifacts; the references stay with the research.
Tip

If a single point in a report matters to you, go straight to its source in the pack and read the original. The pack exists precisely so you never have to trust a claim you can't check.

  • Ask for the outcome you want; the source pack arrives with the research automatically, so you don't need to request it separately.
  • When a finding is important, verify it from the pack rather than relying on the summary alone — the original always carries the full context.
  • Keep source packs you'll want again; they are saved as artifacts you can reopen and reuse.
  • For larger questions, a deeper multi-source dive organizes more references into the pack — useful when one or two sources aren't enough.
