#Overview

Arachne is Nourva's hands on the open web, and part of that reach is connecting accounts you authorize and carrying out outreach you ask for. You describe who you want to reach or what you want connected, and Arachne does the work across real websites and services — staying inside the permission level you choose and pausing for you wherever you have told it to.

This is the part of Arachne that acts in the world rather than just reading it. Because real outreach and real connections touch things you care about, control matters more here than anywhere else. Arachne never connects an account or sends anything on your behalf beyond what you have authorized, and every action it takes is verified before it is reported as done.

#What you can do

  • Connect accounts you authorize. When a task needs Arachne to work inside a service you use, you can authorize that connection. Arachne then operates that service the way you would — and only the services you have explicitly connected.
  • Carry out outreach you ask for. Ask Arachne to reach out and make contact on your behalf, and it works through the necessary steps to do it, within the boundaries you set.
  • Stay inside your chosen permission level. Every connection and every act of outreach happens at the freedom level you picked — from holding for your approval on each step to flowing through on its own.
  • Keep a record of what happened. What Arachne does is saved as an artifact you can find, reopen, and review, so you can always see exactly what was reached and connected.
  • Stop at any moment. Stopping always works immediately, at any permission level, no matter how far along a task is.

#How to use it

  1. Describe the outcome. Say who you want to reach or what you want connected, in plain language — the result you want, not the individual steps. Arachne finds the path.
  2. Authorize the connection. If the task needs a service you use, authorize that account so Arachne can work inside it. Arachne only ever connects what you explicitly allow.
  3. Choose your permission level. Pick how much freedom Arachne has for this task:
    • Look only — Arachne inspects but changes nothing and sends nothing.
    • Plan first — Arachne proposes its approach and waits for your approval before acting.
    • Ask before acting — Arachne pauses for your permission before each step that reaches out or changes something.
    • Work in your workspace — Arachne acts freely within the boundary you have set, and nothing outside it.
    • Act automatically — Arachne carries the whole task through on its own.
  4. Watch the first run. Outreach is exactly the kind of task worth watching live so you can steer. Keep the level cautious until you trust how a particular task behaves.
  5. Review the result. When Arachne reports back, check the saved artifact to confirm what was connected and reached. A "done" from Arachne means the outcome was verified, not just attempted.

For anything that reaches out or connects on your behalf, start at Ask before acting or Plan first until you have seen the task run cleanly. You can always raise the level later for work you have come to trust.

#Tips

  • Be specific about the boundary. Tell Arachne exactly who to reach and how far to go. Clear limits make outreach safer and the result closer to what you intended.
  • Authorize only what the task needs. Connect the accounts a task actually requires, and no more. Your connections are yours to grant and to keep narrow.
  • Lean on the cautious levels for first runs. Ask before acting keeps you approving each step until you trust the task; raise the freedom only once you have watched it behave.
  • Use the saved artifact as your record. After outreach, reopen the artifact to confirm exactly what was connected and reached — it is your durable account of what happened.
