Delete your account

Deleting your Nourva account is self-service, permanent, and free. It works the same way on Android, iOS, desktop, and the web — there is one account behind all of them, so deleting from any surface deletes everything. You do not need to contact us, and nothing is put in a queue for approval.

How to delete it

Android app
Open Nourva → Settings → Security → Delete account. Confirm, and the account is deleted immediately.
iOS app
Open Nourva → Settings → Security → Delete account. Confirm, and the account is deleted immediately.
Web dashboard
Sign in at nourva.ai, open your dashboard settings, and choose Delete account. Confirm, and the account is deleted immediately.
Desktop app
The desktop app uses the same account. Delete it from any of the routes above, then remove the Nourva application data folder from your computer to erase the local database.
By email
If you cannot reach any of the above, write to [email protected] from the email address on your account. We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Cancel a store subscription first

If you subscribed inside the Android app, Google Play keeps billing you until you cancel it at Google Play → Subscriptions. If you subscribed inside the iOS app, cancel it in App Store → your profile → Subscriptions. Deleting your Nourva account does not cancel a subscription billed by a store — only the store can stop it. A subscription bought on the web is cancelled automatically when you delete your account.

What is erased immediately

The moment you confirm, the following is deleted from our primary databases:

  • Your profile — name, email address, password hash, sign-in provider link
  • Every conversation, message, and generated document held in your account
  • Your memory entries and personality profile held on our side
  • Settings, preferences, paired devices, and connected third-party accounts (their tokens are destroyed)
  • Your calendar mirror, if you had granted calendar access on mobile
  • Billing and credit history, and your Stripe subscription is cancelled
  • Notification schedules and any pending reminders held on our side

What is kept, and for how long

Four things survive the immediate erase, each for a stated reason and a stated period. None of them is used to contact you, profile you, or rebuild your account.

WhatWhy it survives, and for how long
Encrypted database backupsPurged on a rolling 30-day cycle. Kept for disaster recovery only, and not accessible to staff for any other purpose.
Tamper-evident audit log entriesAnonymized at deletion — your name and email are replaced with a synthetic identifier such as [deleted-user-N]. Retained for fraud and security forensics.
Tax and accounting records of payments already madeRetained for the period the applicable tax law requires. These are financial records, not profile data.
Anonymized usage telemetryAlready unlinked from you before deletion. Retained up to 24 months in aggregate form.

Data on your own device

Nourva is local-first: your memory, conversation history, and generated files live in an encrypted database on your device, not on our servers. Uninstalling the mobile app removes that database from your phone, and deleting the Nourva application data folder removes it from your computer. Uninstalling alone does not delete your account on our side — use one of the routes above for that.

Want a copy before you go?

Export your data first from your dashboard settings. You get a JSON and CSV bundle of your profile, conversations, credit ledger, and audit log, delivered as a single-use link valid for one hour. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, and we cannot recover an account after the backup window closes.

How you know it worked

We send a confirmation email when deletion starts, containing a single-use link valid for one hour in case the request was not yours, and a second email when it completes. If you never receive either one, write to [email protected] and we will check.
